The day Jeannie Goulbourn stepped into the booth, my ideas on what interviews and conversations stood for took on a whole different meaning. Jeannie is known in the fashion world for her Silk Cocoon creations. But when she walked into the Dollhouse, we hardly spoke about fashion one bit. Instead, Jeannie turned the focus on something that meant much more to her…The Natasha Goulbourn Foundation.
The Natasha Goulbourn Foundation was started in memory of her daughter, who suffered from depression. Now, it is Jeannie’s mission to help other’s who are going through this same dark path and helping them find the light.
I was inspired by Jeannie’s selfless dedication to this cause.
There’s a different level of energy when one talks about a fun passion as compared to when one talks about a life- long mission. In the tone of their voice, the fire in their words, and the focus of their attention, you can tell the difference when one is speaking about the things that are important to them.
Listen closely.
Or better yet, Read it.
